Public Library Appreciation Day at the SC State House
Public Library Appreciation Day at the South Carolina State House gave library supporters from across the state a chance to talk with legislators about the need to continue library funding, even in this tight economic climate.
As personal budgets get tight, people turn more and more to their local libraries for free computer use and for free books, movies, and music. Folks are using our materials for job searching and investment planning, and use of libraries is up throughout the country.
The next time you see your local legislators, take a moment to thank them for funding our libraries, and remind them how important it is to continue this support.
