The 2nd annual library/4H Cookie Contest was a big success! With 17 dozen cookies, the judges had their work cut out for them. A great time was had by all (but we all ate WAY too many cookies!). Between the ages of 8 and 13? Start choosing your recipe for next year . . .

2009 Teens' Top Ten

More than 11,000 teen voters chose Paper Towns as their favorite book in the 2009 Teens' Top Ten! The online poll took place from Aug. 24 through Sept. 18, with the winners announced during Teen Read Week by WWE Divas Brie Bella and Nikki Bella.

And the winners are:

2. Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer (Little, Brown Books for Young Readers)

Did you know that the Agnew Branch Library in Donalds has over 12,000 titles? That's right! Last week, the library hit its 12,000 mark, and as of Wednesday morning has 12,019 titles. That includes books, movies on DVD and movies on VHS, music CDs, magazines, books on tape and books on CD.

The same library card is good at the libraries in Abbeville, in Calhoun Falls, and in Donalds, so come see all your libraries have to offer!
